AP stands for Advanced Placement
AP can change your life. Through college-level AP courses, you enter a universe of knowledge that might otherwise remain unexplored in high school; through AP Exams, you have the opportunity to earn credit or advanced standing at most of the nation's colleges and universities.
Why Participate?
With 34 courses and exams in 19 subject areas, AP offers something for everyone. The only requirements are a strong curiosity about the subject you plan to study and the willingness to work hard. Here are just a few reasons to sign up:

When and where to register?
AP Exam registration for the College Board Exam will start on March 2012 in the DIS Guidance Office.
2012 AP Exam schedule
The 2012 AP Exams will be administered over two weeks in May: May 7 through 11 and May 14 through 18. Coordinators are responsible for notifying students when and where to report for the exams. Early testing or testing at times other than those published by the College Board is not permitted under any circumstances.
