Sr. Jacqueline: Jesus Christ our Hope is Risen

Easter 2024

It seems like just a short while ago we as the DIS family observed the beginning of Lent. Some of us had our foreheads marked with ashes as a reminder of our mortality and that our life on this earth is temporary. Lent provided a time for us to reflect inwardly and acknowledge our human weaknesses and flaws. It was a season when we sought forgiveness and were forgiven.

As we now commemorate the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ on Easter, we are reminded of the promise of new life and a new beginning. Jesus suffered and died on the Cross as an ultimate expression of his love for humanity. We belong to Him, even though we do not deserve to be called children of our Heavenly Father. God's grace is infinite, and He never tires of giving us new beginnings and opportunities until we find our rightful path and place.

Jesus Christ our hope is risen, let us be glad and rejoice! Alleluia!

May the blessings of this Easter season be bestowed upon you and your loved ones in abundance.
