DIS provides a unique Dominican education for children aged 4 years for Pre-Kinder through Grade 12.

DIS offers a low student-faculty ratio across its Dominican education. We have multiple teachers to ensure tailored, individual attention.

All students from Pre-Kinder through Grade 12 are required to wear the DIS School Uniform.

DIS has a diverse student body with 35 countries represented, but English is the medium of instruction.

The EAL Program at DIS is committed to providing a developmental language education that will prepare students to function successfully in their mainstream classroom, with access to the classroom curriculum. DIS’s EAL teachers provide direct instruction related to language proficiency. DIS aids teachers in differentiating content instruction with in-class support, and provides ongoing professional development for all staff in best practices for EAL students. DIS offers three additional languages. World Languages are integral to the curriculum at DIS, with Spanish and Japanese being taught beginning in Grade Nine up to Grade Eleven. Chinese instruction is offered beginning in Grade One, until Grade Eleven. Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) is being taught beginning Grade Two up to Grade Eight.

Applying to DIS

The application deadline for the 2024-2025 school year is announced over the DIS home page. After this deadline has passed, DIS will not accept applications.

We welcome visitors to our campus throughout the year. Information sessions are conducted. To schedule a visit, please click the button below.

All qualified applicants will undergo testing. It depends on the level of the child applying to attend DIS. Once you have submitted ALL requirements, you will receive confirmation through email.

There is no financial aid available to any students. However, DIS teachers can avail of tuition assistance for their children studying at DIS.
